WINE BETWEEN TUSCANY AND FRANCE

A cultural, technological and intellectual interchange that has been going on for millennia. Since the time of the Etruscans, when this extraordinary people carried the first vines beyond the Alps and with them the wine culture. Moving on to the Medici, who had in Caterina one of their most famous representatives, the queen of France, who left her sign in many aspects of our everyday lives: in the kitchen, in fashion, in art and culture. Another trait d’union was Leonardo Da Vinci. The last years the Tuscan genius spent in France were certainly the most serene of his life, during which he dedicated his time to what was perhaps the things that interested him the most: science and physics. From France to Tuscany was the trajectory of the Lorraine: under their government, and in particular under the reign of Leopold II, important administrative, economic and social novelties were introduced, including a new way of looking at the environment.

A SPLENDID VIEW

Finding another region in the world which, like Tuscany, evokes so immediately the idea of beauty, elegance and harmony is anything but easy.
In this land, very ancient human presence has built marvellous cities and unforgettable countryside. Here the shapes and the colours of the landscapes have led artists to create masterpieces that millions of visitors admire from every corner of the planet. To this day, the cities and countryside of Tuscany are united by a relationship that continues the incessant construction of the “beautiful landscape”. For many, and especially for foreigners, Tuscany is a kind of perfect summary of Italy. This idea can be justified in many aspects: its extraordinary urban landscapes, so typical and significant; its sweet, luminous and well-tended countryside; its cultural history, which has made it one of the most representative places of the entire Western civilisation; its language, which was the main reference for cultured Italian.

THE BRILLIANCE OF MAN
Man and nature. A relationship that often translates into conflict but, when conducted with harmony, can lead to marvellous results. Making a truly special wine requires the intervention of science and of the brilliance of an oenologist, whose passion, intuition and professionalism turn living matter into an exceptional beverage.
